Property management & real estate

Internet for the properties you manage

Internet that already works when they get the keys.

We work with property managers, letting agents and landlords so a place is connected before anyone moves in. The connection is ordered ahead of the tenancy and the wifi is sized to the property. When a tenant says it isn't working, there is one number to call — ours.

Who we work with

Property managers and accommodation providers who wanted connecting a place to stop being a job.

What every property needs

  • Connected before the keys change hands

We order the connection in the property's name, against the tenancy date, so it is not left for a tenant to sort out in their first week. Installs take longer than most people expect — the earlier you tell us about a place, the less that matters.

  • One contact, not an 0800 queue

Your team deals with us directly. We set up and run the connections ourselves, so orders, changes and tenant changeovers are ours to handle. When a fault turns out to be the network operator's, we do the chasing — which is the part that eats an afternoon.

  • Wifi that reaches the back bedroom

A studio and a three-level villa do not need the same thing, so we match the mesh to the place instead of sending the same box everywhere. Wifi that reaches the back bedroom is most of what a tenant means by "good internet".

  • Something stronger where mesh won't do

Thick walls, long buildings and blocks of units are where consumer gear quietly gives up. For those we put in business-grade wireless and look after it ourselves, rather than handing it over in a box.

  • Commercial buildings too

Offices, retail and other commercial tenancies get proper business networking and wifi. We can keep running it for you afterwards, so it is not left to whoever moves in to work out.

  • The property keeps the connection

The connection belongs to the property, not to whichever tenant happened to be in it. A changeover becomes a piece of paperwork instead of another install and another wait.

Two ways to cover a property

Mesh for most places, something stronger for the rest

Most rentals are well covered by a TP-Link Deco mesh. We pick the model and how many units it needs from the size and layout of the place, rather than sending the same box out every time.

Where that is not enough — a big multi-level house, thick walls, a block of units, or a commercial tenancy — we put in business-grade wireless and look after it ourselves. Nobody inherits a device they are expected to understand.

Common questions

How early should we tell you about a property?
As early as you can. If a place has never had a connection, or the last one was disconnected, it is the install timeframe that catches people out rather than the price. How long it takes depends on the address and what is already in the ground. A property we hear about when the tenancy is signed is in far better shape than one we hear about on moving day.
Do you deal with us or with the tenant?
Either way works, and both are common. Some agencies want everything to come through them. Others would rather we talk to the tenant directly once the connection is live. Tell us which you prefer and we will set it up that way.
The property already has a connection. Is that a problem?
No. Depending on what is there and who it is with, we can often take it over rather than replace it. We will tell you honestly whether that is worth doing or whether starting again is simpler.
Mesh or managed wireless — how do we choose?
Mostly it is the building, not the budget. A single-level apartment is well served by a mesh pack. A big multi-level house, a block of units, or anything with thick walls and long runs is where business-grade wireless starts to earn its place. Tell us the property and we will say which we would put in.
Do you do commercial as well as residential?
Yes. Commercial tenancies get business-grade networking and wifi, and we can keep running it for you — so an incoming tenant is not inheriting equipment nobody understands.
Where do you cover?
We are on the ground in Auckland, Taranaki and Wellington, and support properties remotely throughout New Zealand. What can be delivered at any given address depends on the network in that street, which we will check for you.
